PickATour is a Porto platform that brings together two things that usually come separately: a guide who knows the city and a car to take you around. Book in the app, the guide picks you up wherever you are and the trip goes at your pace, with no groups or fixed schedules.
Guides are locals with their own car, who work independently and choose when they are available. Our part is making sure they are who they say they are, that the price is clear before you book, and that there is help if anything goes wrong.
Nobody goes online without our team’s approval.
Every guide uploads their documents in the app and our team checks each one, including expiry dates. When a document expires, the guide stops receiving requests until it is renewed.

Trust doesn’t stop at paperwork.
- Selfie when going online. To confirm the person driving is the account holder.
- Start code. The tour only starts with the code shown in your app.
- Reviews after every tour. Low averages lead to a conversation with our team and, if needed, suspension.
- Reports taken seriously. A serious report, such as dangerous driving, suspends the guide immediately until our team reviews it.

See the price before booking
Guide fee fixed per tour and level, plus included food and tickets. At the end you pay for what was used.
No hidden extras
Anything above what is included, the guide asks in the app and only goes ahead with your approval.
If a guide drops out, we handle it
We find another guide, often a level up at the same price. If there is none, you pay nothing and get credit.
